NoVA-UUJME is the abbreviation for the Northern Virginia Chapter of Unitarian Universalists for Justice in the Middle East (UUJME). NoVA-UUJME is one of nearly 30 UUJME Chapters in the United States. UUJME was founded in 1971 and NoVA-UUJME joined UUJME in 2014.
The mission of NOVA-UUJME is to foster knowledge and awareness of the current situation in Israel/Palestine among UUs and others in our local community and to promote a holistic and historical understanding of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, create space for dialogue, and advocate for the human rights of both Israelis and Palestinians.
